Previous Events…

SATURDAY 13TH APRIL

10AM - 1PM - Emotion and Colour

What does angry look like? How does the colour yellow make you feel? How can I show love?

Designed for younger children but all welcome, we will be reading books including The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas and Julia Donaldson’s Colours, Colours Everywhere as our starting point.

As with all the sessions you can make what you feel using the resources available. There will also be a collective project going on should you like to join in. With lots of colour and paint this session will be messy so please wear clothes you do not mind getting mucky.

We will provide as many aprons as possible.

1:30PM - 4:30PM - Playing with Senses

Squelching paint between our toes, drawing with our eyes closed, listening to music, tasting sweet and sour foods. How do these things make you feel? What does it make you want to create?

In this session we have on offer a variety of stimuli designed to inhibit or heighten our senses. Again, there will be a collective piece for you to join in with or you can focus on your own artistic sensory adventure.

SUNDAY 14TH APRIL

10AM - 1PM - Fruit and Veg (Still Life)

We will have a mound of lots of different fruit and vegetables for you to draw, paint, eat, use as tools, print with, create sculptures from and more. An alternative take on the traditional still life… and a great one for picky eaters to explore different food without the pressure of eating. Like with all the sessions there will be a collective project but you can also make what you like.

1:30PM - 4:30PM - Rubbish Mermaid

(Life Drawing)

Our mermaid, swimming in junk, will be a living canvas. As the finale, this session will incorporate and be the culmination of the previous collective projects. A fantastic first opportunity for many young people to experience life drawing. As with the rest of the weekend you will be able to create as you like. A painting, a collage or even a poem?
